CARBOY News / September CARBOY meeting
Last post by swmurph - September 15, 2021, 12:06:45 PM
The September CARBOY meeting is at Oaklyn Springs Brewery at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 22.

2912 N. Main Street, Suite 100
Fuquay-Varina, NC  27540
E  /  Info@oaklynsprings.com
T  /  (919) 762-0049

Going south on US 401 (Fayetteville Avenue), it is in a small group of stores on the left, shortly after you pass the John Heister Chevrolet dealership. Look for the "Brewery" sign (or 2) and make a u-turn.

Come early and enjoy some of former CARBOY member Rusty's great creations.

There are a pizza restaurant and a sushi restaurant in the same group of stores. They will bring them to the brewery for you.

Added the Shamrock XXV 2020 folder ... And removed whatever the error that was showing ... And then started putzing around on the Forum today when I had a few dozen higher priorities to focus on ...

Found that the default setting for permissions doesn't include 'Losers' which are people with only a few posts ... That's why some of you can't see anything ... Working on changing that ...

Started making some changes to how the posts are managed over time ... Let me know what you think and if you are having any issues ...

Created 'Archive' folders to group specific topics ... It would allow you to quickly scan through those topics/posts and see what happened in the past (ie Mead Day) ... Give you a feel for what we've done and maybe have forgotten ...

The current activity would still be posted in the usual folders ... The current and past few CARBOY meetings in the EVENTS folder ... but as the event is no longer relevant, it would be pushed to the appropriate 'Archive' folder (yes this will take some effort on someone's part)

Have put a 'child' folder in Events for 'Carboy Meetings' ... I don't like how it is at the top of the screen ... And a couple of different Archives in a new Category 'Archive - Events' ...

There is a lot that this app provides that we don't use ... Because we don't know ... If there are some of you that are conversant in SimpleMachines, how about putting together a '15 minute User Training' that we could present at a CARBOY meeting? If not, I'll work on that as I learn some more ...

Gary,

You can post the image on Facebook but it needs to be on the Internet somewhere. In Facebook, you open the image, right click and choose Copy Image Address and then paste it in between the two IMG tags (when you click insert image icon above). The image I included is one from my FB page.

Gary,
As far I understand it. You need to upload an image to a image server first, for example http://imgur.com/

Once your upload the image, you can then use the image's url with the image tag, for example:
[img]http://i.imgur.com/VkQ4JmB.gif[/img]

will produce the image below.

There may be other ways to do this, but this is how I know how to do it. Make sure the image url you provide containts the file extension (e.g., gif, jpg, etc)

I've got this. I'll add the Zymergy issue to my bag and bring it to the meeting on the 27th.
